How Things Have Changed.

Remember when we were in elementary school and the last week of school was filled with end of the year treats and helping the teacher prepare the classroom for summer? We have come a long way since then.

Now the last week of school is filled with reviews, finals, and most of all, stress.

I miss when the most stressful part of my week was finding out the new list of words for our spelling tests.
Now we have GPAs, finals, college, and papers to worry about. I would do just about anything to eat snacks and help my teachers take down posters from now until the 23rd.

Don’t even get me started on recess. If I could just have 15 minutes a day while in school to do whatever I wanted to, life would be fantastic.
When we are kids we are in such a hurry to grow up, but why? We have it so easy!

Now that my days in high school are dwindling down,I want to do anything but grow up. I want to fly away to Neverland with Peter Pan and avoid the realities of applying to colleges, starting a career, moving out, being on my own, and not being able to rely on my parents to pay for things such as my gas and car insurance.

We can’t stop ourselves from growing up, but we can enjoy being young while it lasts!
