Business Professionals of America: State Competition
Business Professionals of America is a Career and Technical Student Organization. BPA has 43,000 members in over 2,300 chapters in 23 states, Kansas being one of them. The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.
Thirteen business students at West went to Wichita for the State BPA competition this past weekend. Five of the thirteen students qualified for BPA nationals. They will go to the National Leadership Competition in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 30th- May 4th.
The students were able to compete in events pertaining to business and computer technology. Our West students competed against 600 other students from the state of Kansas.
“BPA is a lot of fun because I get to do new things with new people. The competition was succesful and it was very beneficial to me,” Sophomore Hannah Miller said.
