The softball team is swinging for the stars.

Although softball season hasn’t started yet, winter conditioning starts the week after Thanksgiving break.  With the coaching staff undergoing a lot of changes, new coach Kevin Mosher is convinced he can lead the girls to state.  He said at the pre-season meeting he’s really trying to not only build a team, but a new program for girls here at West.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenges facing us this year as we build our new team,” junior Madyson Morrill said.

Morrill was the starting pitcher for junior varsity last season.

“I really just can’t wait to get this season started,” she said.

The Vikings will have their first game in April, but until then, Mosher will keep them hard at work preparing for tryouts and this upcoming season.cr=0.1512911,0.553547,0.9438113,1
