Technology Coming to SMSD
All of us know that technological advancements are happening all around us, but it may be happening in a big way soon for the Shawnee Mission School District. Superintendent Jim Hinson believes we’ve fallen behind others in the technology race and is taking steps to change this. He says that each and every student in middle school and high school will have their own iPad or MacBook Air in the near future. This is something that will improve the abilities of teachers and students alike. There will be a School Board meeting on January 27th to make a decision on this prospect.
Katherine Riedel, Junior, said of this proposal that “it could be interesting and would be good for those who don’t have access to the same resources as other students.”
