The End Is Here…
May 9, 2013
As I walk around the halls knowing that we are two weeks away from summer, I try not the think “the end is near” but “the end is here.” It seems crazy to me that the seniors, the people I have looked up to since kindergarden, will be gone. The seniors this year are moving on to bigger and better things. But one thing is for sure that they will always have their Shawnee Mission West family right behind them, cheering them on.
“Once a Viking, Always a Viking.” This quote has shown me that West truly is a family. We are so accepting and it is sure that you will have the time of your life while you are here. This school has taught me so many things that I will take with me for the rest of my life. I am so happy to have one more year to spend at this wonderful school.
As the seniors leave and the eighth graders prepare themselves to be a “big kid,” we all are excited and ready for the next step in our lives. Whether it’s college or high school, we are all together.
