Students from our Yearbook and Epic classes competed in the state journalism competition this past Saturday. The competition includes subjects such as layout, graphics, and different styles of writing.

Out of the many students that entered, West had 4 students excel in their categories:

Sarah Hinman-Honorable Mention Yearbook Layout, 3rd place Theme and Graphics
Landon Ochsner- 1st place Editorial Writing, 3rd place Student Life Photo
Andy Gottschalk- 2nd place News Writing
Rachel Krueger- 2nd place Feature

SM West finished 3rd overall at the state competition.
