Review: 22 Jump Street

The anticipated sequel to 21 Jump Street is finally out!

We’ve all waited to see the comical duo of Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill since the first movie premiered. While it it was pretty hard to top the first movie, the second one followed close behind.

If you have seen the first one, you’ve basically seen the second. The first movie was a story about a stupid jock, Channing Tatum, and a nerd, Jonah Hill. The popular guy teases the nerd, like any cliche high school movie. Years later they meet up when they are both training to become cops and tag team to complete the course. They end up going back to High School to stop a drug from spreading and end up switching their popularity.

It was extremely hilarious and even got a little sentimental. The sequel was the duo going to college, stopping a drug deal, and switching popularity…again. The plot wasn’t very original they made up for it with the comedy. The only reason they got away with having the same plot twice was because they made fun of the similarity between the two movies.

It seems a little repetitive but it’s totally worth the watch. If you like a goofy comedy and vulgar humor this movie is right up your alley.
