Watch: Inspirational Runner
January 30, 2015
The West community finds inspiration in Tanya Khvitsko, a Russian runner affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. She is an above and below the knee amputee and is also missing a few fingers on her right hand. She has traveled to the US every summer since she was six years old.
“People here actually care about me…” Khvitsko said.
3 years ago she got her first pair of running legs. Tanya uses her passion for running and fitness to encourage others with physical disabilities.
