Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and West does not hesitate to whip out the pink and support this cause.
Many activities such as walks, runs, and fundraisers are held to support finding a cure. The biggest organization involved in the fight to end breast cancer is “Susan G. Komen for the Cure”.
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything possible to end breast cancer forever. In 1982 her promise became a reality. “Susan G. Komen for the Cure” was created.
Since then the organization has invested about $2 billion in breast cancer reaserch. Currently their are about 3illion breast cancer survivors, which is tje largest group of cancer survivors in the U.S.
