Greenwald’s main event is Hunters.  Hunters is derived from fox hunting that originated from English riding styles.  In this competition riders must take their horses over various jumps.  Judges critique the rider and horse on technique and execution of the performance.

Greenwald has competed for about 10 years now.  She rides at Church Hill Stables in Bucyrus, Kan.

“I love it there, its beautiful.”

After training everyday with a trainer Greenwald goes to different competitions in places such as Iowa, St. Louis, and even Kentucky.  Greenwald has won many awards, but her favorite are the big ribbons she says.

After high school Greenwald hopes to continue riding and competing in college.  She hopes to go to a top ranked equestrian school.  Schools on her radar include Southern Methodist (Mustangs) in Dallas, Texas, and the University of South Carolina (Gamecocks).  Currently the Gamecocks are ranked No. 2 in the nation and the Mustangs are No. 10 in the nation.
