Apple Releases New iPad

After months of rumors and speculation, tech giant Apple finally released the latest version of the popular iPad tablet, which will be released on Friday, March 16. Here’s what you need to know about the new device.

Retina Display:  Arguably the most impressive feature of the new iPad. Apple managed to fit 3.1 million pixels (1 million more than in your typical HDTV) into the same 9.7 inch space. You could zoom in so that only one letter fills up the whole screen and still not see the edges become pixelated.

A5X Chip:  Allows games and apps to load close to twice as fast as the iPad 2.

5-megapixel iSight camera:  Now you can take 1080p HD videos and pictures on the improved rear-facing camera.

4G LTE connectivity:  The new iPad will be compatible with AT&T and Verizon’s advanced 4G LTE network, meaning users can browse the web and download content at super fast speeds.

Models:  Wifi only models are priced at $499 for 16G, $599 for 32G, and $699 for 64G. Wifi + 4G models come at $629 for 16G, $729 for 32G, and $829 for 64G. Apple also announced a price drop in all iPad 2 models.
