I am a picky eater, but a lover of many food combinations. For example, ketchup on my salad, cheese on my pancakes, and shredded chicken on my saltines. Since opening my palette to too many food feuds, I’ve recently enjoyed spreading Blue cheese on all my meals.
It began in early May when I took my friends out after I just received my paycheck. The Cheesecake Factory was our destination, and by accident, I spread the Blue cheese on the famous “brown bread.” I was delighted by the tanginess and pulled the nearest worker aside, and asked for another serving. That was the happiest day of my life because I tried something new and approved of it.
Some of my friends question my weird tastes, especially in food, but I have to say I truly love Blue Cheese because it brings something different to my table that a Colby-Jack could never imitate.
Now let me introduce to you a scene from a famous animated film. Ratatouille is a 2007 American animated comedy, and to be honest, the main character, Remy the Rat, scared me when I first watched him play in human hair. Nonetheless, when his skills were put to the test and the critic was given Ratatouille, as he ate, the simplicity of the dish proved him wrong. And his first bite(s) to me was seen as a metaphor for prejudice.
Like the critic Anton Ego, I broke my preconceived notions, this time it was about cheese. Please if you stumble on Blue cheese give it a try, I can guarantee you that it will not make your teeth fall out.
