“Hey Mambo, Mambo Italiano!”

The band hosted the 20th Annual Spaghetti Dinner, which featured the jazz groups at West as well as the drumline and the 8th grade jazz band from Westridge Middle School. The serving line, catered by Fazoli’s, opened at 4:30pm to a hungry crowd. Just a short 30 minutes later, bidding for the silent auction, filled with over 300 items, began. Principal Dr. Charles McLean’s parking spot for a week as well as a brand new trumpet, flute, clarinet or trombone donated by R.E.W. Music were just a few of the featured items. As the night went on, the cake walk and bingo games were featured on the bridge. It seemed by all of the purple going through the serving lines that they had quite a few K-State fans in attendance. To accommodate the number of fans, the band placed a T.V. in the main gym that had the game broadcasting live making sure that no one missed a second.

The band will be hosting the Dallas Brass Concert on December 13 at 7pm featuring the world renowned Dallas Brass ensemble, as well as the Chili Supper February 2, 2013 at 5:30pm.
