Minority Report
This under appreciated Spielberg masterpiece was way ahead its time. “Minority Report” is a science fiction film set in the future, where a special police force is able to convict criminals for their crimes before they commit them. The visual effects circa-2002 still hold up incredibly well, and some of the technology in the film (touch screens) is used regularly today. But most importantly, the theme of wrongful conviction is very pertinent and important even today. This is easily one of Spielberg’s greatest films, and a showcase for one of Tom Cruises’s greatest performances.
