Study Tips for Finals

Well everyone, it’s Finals Time. Get ready for the most stressful, sleepless, and tiring week of the first semester. (But somewhat rewarding) Here are some helpful tips to keep you on the right track for acing those pesky exams!

1. Probably the number one tip I can give to all of you is to NOT PROCRASTINATE. Waiting till the night before to study for a tough final will only cause you more stress and most likely decrease your performance.

2. Spread out your studying. Look over notes one night; take practice tests the next night, and the night before, review. I can guarantee you will feel more relaxed and confident when it comes to the morning of the test.

3. Make sure you get a good night sleep (8+ hours is ideal). A rested mind and fully charged body will help you all the way through the test, rather then just making it mid way through and crashing.

4. Put your phone away from you during studying. It will minimize your distractions immensely. Whoever you are texting can wait just a little while. NO TEXT IS WORTH FAILING A FINAL.

5. Make a list of items in each subject that you need to review. Look over and spend most of the time relearning and remembering the material that you are not familiar with.

If you follow these tips, you are on your way to mastering the art of studying for finals.

GOOD LUCK AND DO YOUR BEST.
